Description: This course describes processing disorders - causes, characteristics, and instruction.  The brain's role in reading and processing information is addressed as well as the evaluation of mental/perceptual/academic abilities.  The learning process of children with and without perceptual problems is compared.  Identification and characteristics of dyslexia, ADHD, and other perceptual disorders are explored.
