There is a dyslexia tutor request scam email going around, received by some members listed in our ALTA email directory. They have been contacted by a person who wants to arrange for private tutoring for a child. The scammer may say that they live in another country, and that they will send you the money up front before any consultation or lessons take place. The scammer will then ask the intended scam victim for personal information such as an address, phone number before agreeing to any payment or tutoring schedule. Please be careful when corresponding with potential clients. To learn more about and / or to report a scam email, go to http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/e-scams/e-scams.
