The 32° Masonic Learning Centers for Children, Inc. offer training and certification in the 32° Masonic Orton-Gillingham Approach at four levels: Initial, Trainer of Initial, Advanced, and Trainer of Advanced. The intensive training includes lectures, readings, and a practicum with children at the Learning Center. The Orton-Gillingham tutor-training and one-on-one tutoring for children are provided at no cost through the generosity of the Scottish Rite Masons of the Northern Jurisdiction. Graduate credit for tutor training may be available from a participating college or university.

The Shelton MSL Training Course offers training and certification in Sequential English Education, a specific language series (reading, writing and spelling) program for students with learning differences, ages six through adulthood.  The SEE approach is alphabetic, phonetic, structural and linguistic.  Certification is available at the Teaching and Therapy levels. Graduate level credit is offered through Dallas Baptist University. The training is provided by the Outreach Department at Shelton School, the largest school for students with learning differences in the world.

The Slingerland Multisensory Structured Language Instructional Approach is an adaptation for classroom use of the Orton-Gillingham approach. This structured, sequential, simultaneous, multisensory teaching approach is designed to help dyslexic students with speaking, reading, writing and spelling. The flexibility of the approach has made it effective in general education classrooms as well as with small groups and individuals.
