2019 President Elect’s Award for Distinguished Service

 
ALTA is delighted to honor Susan Louchen as the recipient of the 2019 President Elect’s Award for Distinguished Service by a New Member. Susan earned a BS from Temple University, an MS from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Special Education K-12 Endorsements from Old Dominion University. She then attended the Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center where she completed her training to become a CALT in 2015. Since that time, Susan helped establish the ALTA Virginia Chapter, serving as its first President from 2016-2018. She has served on the ALTA National Board at Large, VP-Public Relations, Long-range Planning Committee, Website Committee, and Nominating Committee.

“The Academic Language Therapy Association has a profound positive impact on the world! It is the greatest privilege to work with so many dynamic, dedicated colleagues from so many regions serving this profession,” states Susan.

ALTA is proud to recognize Susan as a new member who has dedicated her time to making ALTA the best professional organization it can be! As such, we honor her with the first President-Elect’s Award of Service to a New Member!
