Founded in 1975, the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD) brings together 13 member organizations dedicated to the education and welfare of individuals with learning disabilities. ALTA is proud to be a member of the NJCLD which brings the strength of leadership and expertise from many dynamic and influential organizations to impact research, policy, and professional education related to learning disabilities.
Individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) may experience significant difficulties in one or more areas of educational performance, such as reading comprehension or mathematical problem-solving.
